Part II - Implementing Technology and the Interactive White Board into the Classroom
Course Overview and Goals:
This weeklong course is for teachers on the use of the interactive whiteboard and how to integrate this technology into their classrooms and curricula. The class will focus on the use of the interactive whiteboard and its distinct tools and software. Participants will develop activities to enhance their specific areas of study.
The first goal of this course is to provide teachers insight into how they can more effectively integrate and use the Interactive Whiteboard and Web 2.0 tools in their classroom to enhance teaching and learning. The second goal is to have teachers, upon the completion of the class, take away working lessons in their subject areas for implementation in their classrooms starting fall 2008. This is live data that they can start using immediately. The power of the course is that it will give participants time to develop their skills and integrate technology into their curriculum, specifically various interactive whiteboard software and web 2.0 tools.
