Master of Arts in Education
with an emphasis in Language Arts and Reading

Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in language arts and reading is designed for professional educators. Students will explore the current research, observe language arts programs in classrooms, and conduct research.

This individualized program emphasizes interpreting research in reading and writing and promotes excellence in teaching practices in the public schools.

Language Arts and Reading – General Program

Required Master Core Courses 9-15 cr
EDU 6860 Field Experience 3- 5 cr
Electives in education and the liberal arts to be
determined in consultation with advisor
 
Minimum credits required for degree 36 cr
