Master of Arts in Education
with an emphasis on Language Arts and Reading

Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in language arts and reading is designed for professional educators. Students will explore the current research, observe language arts programs in classrooms, and conduct research. This individualized program
emphasizes interpreting research in reading and writing and promotes excellence in teaching practices in the public schools.

Language Arts and Reading Courses:

Administration Courses:  
EDU 6010 Supervision and Staff Development 3 cr
EDU 6140 School Law 3 cr
EDU 6410 Public School Finance 3 cr
Electives: To be determined in consultation with advisor 0-6 cr
Minimum credits required for degree 36 cr

Note: A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required in order to receive
this endorsement.
