Special Educator Endorsement without Licensure

If the student is also seeking beginning elementary licensure he/she must also complete
course requirements for Beginning Educator Licensure including the following courses.

Required Master Core Courses 9-15 cr
EDU 5150 Survey of Exceptional Children and Young Adults OR
EDU 6130 Education of the Mildly Handicapped in the Regular Classroom

EDU 5220 Learning Disabilities 3 cr
EDU 6460 Learning Impairments 3 cr
EDU 6463 Collaboration in Special Education 3 cr
Select three one-credit assessment modules from the following: 3 cr
EDU 6321 Introduction to Assessment in Special Education
EDU 6322 Portfolio Assessment for Students with Challenges
EDU 6323 Administration of the Woodcock Johnson III Achievement Test
EDU 6324 Functional Behavior Assessment
EDU 6325 Linking Assessment with Individual Educational Plans
EDU 6326 Curriculum-based Assessment for Students with Challenges
 
Electives 3-9 cr
