Field-Based Master's Degree Program
Reinventing Master's Degree Study for Teachers

The Castleton Field-Based Master's Degree Program recognized and responds to the needs of classroom teachers. The program allows teachers to explore the most important issues they face within the context of their schools and districts.

This flexible program places the needs of their students in the forefront and evolves to support their work as teachers in a learning community.

A Focus on Student Learning
The program is geared toward improving student achievement and supporting teachers in that goal. All teachers want to make a difference, and they will readily adopt new practices that are rooted in knowledge of real students in real classrooms.

Learn to Reflect Critically
Teachers learn to reflect on their own experiences and to research the best ideas and strategies so that they can expand their knowledge and skills. The goal is to think systematically about their practice and learn by doing.
