| SCHOLARSHIPS SELECTED BY ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS AND OTHERS
FOLEY-SCHILL SCHOLARSHIP – Awarded by the Business Department, recipient must be a CSC student in their Junior or Senior year of study, enrolled in one of the Business Administration concentrations and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preference will be given to a candidate who demonstrates the greatest financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office. PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS – Recipients must be matriculated students enrolled on a full-time basis. Must have a declared major. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0. A student may only receive one Presidential Scholarship in an award year. Castleton Fellows recipients are not eligible for this scholarship. Each academic Department Chair selects a recipient for their department. SHOREY-HARVEY SCHOLARSHIP – Recipient must be a Vermont resident student enrolled full-time at a Vermont State College, and whose interest is in the field of Education. Need not be an Education major. At CSC, nominations are made by the Academic Dean. We submit the name of the nominee to the VSC Chancellor’s Office. One recipient is chosen by the Chancellor’s Office from the nominees of all the VSC institutions. VERMONT STATE COLLEGES FACULTY FEDERATION SCHOLARSHIP – NEW 2008. Recipient will be a Junior or Senior at the time the award is used, must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office and have high academic standing. Each college will create a committee of faculty to determine the recipient(s) of the award.
DATATEL SCHOLARSHIPS – The Datatel Scholars Foundation awards 4 unique scholarships ranging from $1000 to $2500 to undergraduate and graduate students attending Datatel client institutions. Students may apply via the online application form between September 1, 2007 and January 31, 2008. Applicants must complete and submit an online application at www.datatel.com/dsf in order to be considered for nomination. Please visit the Datatel website for more information. THE POINT, VERMONT STATE COLLEGES & MILNE TRAVEL AMERICAN EXPRESS SCHOLARSHIPS – Applicants must be Vermont residents attending one of the Vermont State Colleges. The application is available at www.pointfm.com/scholarship.php . Awarded to students who show the greatest commitment to community service. Recipients will be selected by a judging committee of Point and VSC representatives. VERMONT STATE COLLEGES STUDENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP – Applicants must hold a minimum GPA of 2.5 and complete an official VSCSA Leadership Scholarship application which includes letters of reference, an essay and an unofficial transcript |
