Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences (BA.NAS)

A broadly based program in the natural sciences which may be especially useful for
interdisciplinary programs designed for such careers as elementary education, scientific
illustration or science writing.

Complete the one of the following Mathematics courses:

MAT 1221 Finite Mathematics
MAT 1320 Precalculus
MAT 1530 Applied Calculus
MAT 1531 Calculus 1

and complete MAT 2021 Statistics 1

and complete one of the following courses in Biology:

BIO 1141 Biology 1
BIO 2011 Human Anatomy and Physiology
BIO 2310 Animal Diversity

and complete one of the following courses in Chemistry:

CHE 1020 Introductory Chemistry
CHE 1031 General Chemistry 1

and complete one of the following courses in Geology:

GEY 1030 Dynamic Earth
GEY 1040 Environmental Geology
GEY 1050 The Earth Through Time

and complete one for the following courses in Physics:

PHY 1150 Physics for Elementary Teachers
PHY 2110 Physics I

and complete an additional 18 credits in Natural Sciences with a minimum of 12 credits
at or above the 3000 level.
