Professor Ana María Alfaro-Alexander
We have the best students at Castleton! They study hard, have a lot of fun and love to learn more every single day! They love the challenge of studying abroad and they return speaking like natives! When graduation comes they are almost completely bilingual, they do great in the job market. Our students are down to earth people who care about our world.

Professor Delma Wood
As a native Argentinean, my love and passion for the Hispanic languages and cultures was in exile while I practiced as a certified public accountant. Now I can share the enthusiasm, experiences, and authentic ethnic culture with our students in a personalized classroom setting. Students from Vermont and neighboring states defy every myth about becoming proficient in Spanish while expanding their knowledge of the Americas and Spain.

Jimena Caratti
Spanish Teaching Assistant
I graduated as an English teacher in Mendoza, Argentina. I have been teaching English in my country for two years now. My longed for dream has always been to become a cultural ambassador of Argentina abroad. Having the opportunity to come to Castleton to teach my language, my culture, to broaden my cultural knowledge of the United States, and to meet new people will leave a long-lasting impression on me.

Claudio Eduardo Pinto
Spanish Teaching Assistant
Teaching is one of my greatest passions. I graduated as a Systems Engineer in Peru, and I work as an English teacher using my knowledge about computers to motivate and create a refreshing environment in classroom. Having the chance to come to Castleton gives me the opportunity to teach not only Spanish, but my culture. I am excited to be in the United States to study the culture and to have many new and unforgettable experiences.
