The Castleton State College Theatre Arts Department presented the musical Cabaret, November 9 – 13, 2005, in the college’s Fine Arts Center. There was a special performance at Paramount Theatre in Rutland, November 16.

Cabaret by John Kander and Fred Ebb is set in a Berlin nightclub in the 1920s as the Nazis are gaining power. The seemingly carefree entertainment in the Kit Kat Klub contrasts with the desperation of the play’s characters and the menace of war and the Holocaust.
