Castleton edged in 10-innings by Colby

Phoenix, AZ-The Castleton State College baseball dropped a non-conference wild one against Colby College 18-17 in 10 innings at the Phoenix Invitational.

The Spartans battled back from deficits of 7-0 in the third, and 17-12 in the ninth to send the game into extra-innings.

Chris Ragis and Dan Conley each had three hits, two RBI and three runs scored as Castleton pounded out 16 hits.

Brad Polcare collected two triples, scored three runs and drove in three more from the lead-off spot. Ragis and Conley also tripled, as did Lauck Blake.

Castleton was plagued by poor fielding as the Spartans committed 10 errors en route to 11 unearned runs.
