Castleton downs Southern Vermont 6-2

Bennington, VT-Dan Conley and Chris Ragis each had two hits as Castleton State College defeated Southern Vermont 6-2 in non-conference baseball action.

Conley was 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored, while Ragis went 2-for-3 with one RBI and two runs scored.

Jon Laureano also collected a pair of hits for the Spartans, who have now won four out of their last five games.

Five Castleton pitchers combined to hold the Mountaineers to two runs on nine hits. Billy O'Donnell earned the win in relief, tossing two innings of no-hit ball, while striking out one and walking one.
