Men's and women's cross country finish second at Johnson State

Johnson, VT-Plattsburgh State University won both the women's 5,000 meter and the men's 8,000 meter races at the Johnson State Invitational. Castleton State College was runner-up in both races.

MEN: Chris Gatchell scored in third place to lead the Spartan men with a time of 28:58 over the 8K course. Freshman, Michael Sullivan was right behind him in fifth with a time of 29:15. Plattsburgh State won the overall by 23 points over Castleton 27-50.

WOMEN: Katie Sprowl, Elizabeth Halnon and Justine Campbell finished 5-6-7 respectively to help lead the Spartans to second place. Sprowl ran the 5K course in 23:01, Halnon 23:18 and Campbell 23:19. Plattsburgh won the overall competition by 23 points over Castleton 27-50.
