Skidmore wins Skidmore Invitational at 288, Castleton finishes 7th at 315

Saratoga, NY-Skidmore "Gold" took the top spot at their home invitational shooting a team score of 288. The Skidmore "Green" squad finished in second at 293. The third through seventh spots in the tournament were separated by a mere ten strokes.

Bryan Smith (St. Albans, VT/BFA-St. Albans) led Castleton, shootinga 2-over 74. Nick Wood (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) followed that up with a 4-over 76. Tom Gatta (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna) rounded out the Spartan competitors in the 70's with a 78.

The Spartans will compete in the ECAC Championships on October 7 and 8. The two day event will be held at New England Country Club in Bellingham, MA. [Complete Results]
