Spartans compete against the best in region at Tim Brown Invitational

Saratoga Springs, NY-The Castleton State College golf team opened its season at the Tim Brown Invitational hosted by 13th ranked Skidmore College. The two-day event attracted many of the top teams in the region and was won by host, Skidmore, by 32 strokes over NYU.

The Spartans finished 11th in the 14 team field. Bryan Smith was Castleton's top finisher, his two-day total of 147 (75-72) was good enough for seventh overall in the 60 player field. Junior, Nick Wood went 75-77 for a T20 152, and freshman Eric Slosek shot 81-81 for T51.

Castleton is back in action on Thursday, September 13 when they travel to Waubeeka Golf Links to take on Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at 3:30 pm. [Results]
