Castleton takes down R.P.I. in match play

Manchester, VT-The Castleton State College men's golf team defeated R.P.I. 3 1/2-2 1/2 in six man match play at the Gleneagles Golf Course at Equinox Resort.

Castleton's Bryan Smith took medalist honors with a 76 to defeat Matt Neeley. Erik Slosek's 79 as good enough to win versus Joe Choma, while Sam Morse shot an 80 and halved his match with Steve Petsche. Alex Moore's 81 was the difference maker as he defeated Bryan Hansen to give the Spartans the slim margin of victory.

Castleton will travel to Williams College to compete in a two-day invitational beginning Saturday, September 22 at 1:30 pm. [Results]
