Castleton opens season with 7-2 victory over Thomas

Rutland, VT-The Castleton State College men's tennis team opened their season by winning five out of six singles matches and two out of three doubles matches versus conference foe, Thomas College. The match was played as a non-conference affair, with the conference match-up to take place April 14 at Thomas.

Jessee Maranda, Ted Panasci, Jeremy Henderson, Ed Kolnaski, and Jamie Cook all won singles matches after Castleton dropped the #1 slot to the Terriers.

Panasci and Kolnaski teamed up to take the #2 doubles match 8-1, while Maranda and Henderson swept #3 doubles 8-0 after Thomas won the #1 slot.

Castleton returns to action on March 21 when they travel to Norwich University for a 4:00 non-conference match. [Results]
