Castleton rolls to 8-1 victory at Lyndon State
Warren, VT-The Castleton State College men's tennis team won its second-straight match, notching an 8-1 victory over Lyndon State at the Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT.
The Spartans dropped #1 singles, and rolled to straight-set victories in each of the final eight matches.
Jessee Maranda was a winner in #2 singles (6-3, 6-1), Justin Garritt took home #3 (6-3, 6-2), #4 singles went to Jeremy Henderson (6-3, 6-2), Ted Panasci won #5 singles (6-0, 6-0) and Eddie Kolnaski won in #6 singles (6-0, 6-1).
In doubles it was all Castleton once again as Maranda and Henderson teamed up for an 8-2 victory in the top slot, while Jamie Cook and Garrit won #2 doubles 8-5 and Panasci and Dan Piliero took home #3 doubles 8-1.
Castleton improves to 4-2 on the season and will be off until April 8, when they play host to Norwich University at 4:00 pm. [Results]
