Castleton drops closely contested match at Norwich
Northfield, VT-The Castleton State College men's tennis team lost its first match of the young season, 5-4 at Norwich University.
Castleton fell behind early, dropping #1 and #2 singles and doubles matches. Ted Panasci led #3 singles after taking the first set 6-3, but fell 6-3, 6-4 over teh final two in the closest match of the day.
The Spartans rallied as Justin Garritt, Jeremy Henderson and Jamie Cook swept #4 - #6 singles macthes, but in the end it wasn't enough.
Cook teamed with Dan Pilierio for the team's only doubles win of the match, 8-5.
Castleton returns to the road on Wednesday, March 26 for a non-conference match at Colby-Sawyer, beginning at 4:00 pm. [Results]
