(January 28, 2008)-Joey Farley (Fairlee, VT/Rivendell Academy) has been named the North Atlantic Conference men's basketball player of the week. Pressed into the starting lineup due to injury, Farley responded by averaging 27 points, five rebounds and two assists over a 1-1 NAC weekend for the Spartans.

Farley canned 12-27 from three-point land on the weekend, and scored a career-high 34 in a win at Wheelock.

His nine three-pointers versus Wheelock aided the Spartans to 17 total, breaking the previous mark of 15 set in 1995 and duplicated earlier this season. The all-time record for three-pointers by an individual in a game is 12, set by Scott Keefe in 2000
