(February 18, 2008) - Steve Culbertson (Bowling Green, OH/Alpena NAHL) has been named the ECAC East men's ice hockey player of the week. Culbertson tallied two goals and two assists in Castleton's 2-0 weekend. Culbertson had one goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over Saint Michael's including an assist on Evan Romeo's game-winner. In Saturday's 4-3 win over No. 6 Norwich, Culbertson started a four-goal barrage by the Spartans, evening the score at 1-1 early in the first period.

Culbertson is the second Castleton player to be honored in the last two weeks with this award. Castleton is currently in the midst of an eight game uneabten streak and are 8-1-1 over their last ten games and have outscored their opponents 35-20 over that span, catapulting their way into the third spot in the ECAC East standings with two games remaining.
