(March 17, 2008) - Marie VanDerKar (Manchester, VT/Burr & Burton Academy) has been named the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance's rookie of the week. n her first collegiate game, VanDerKar scored a team-high four goals on seven shots in Castleton's loss to Emerson. The freshman midfielder also caused five turnovers and had one ground ball.

Junior, Nicole Adams (Rutland, VT/Rutland) was named to the NEWLA Weekly Honor Roll. Adams scored a pair of goals and assisted on two others.
