(April 21, 2008) - Brad Polcare (Saratoga Springs, NY/Saratoga) has been named the North Atlantic Conference baseball player of the week. Polcare led the Spartans to a 4-3 week, including a sweep of
Elms College to secure the top-spot in the NAC tournament.
Polcare hit .519 (14-for-27), scored 12 runs and drove in
seven.

The senior second baseman stole six bases and
slugged .778 to go along with a .594 on base percentage
from the lead off spot in the order.

Polcare earns the honor for the second week in a row. He currently leads the NAC in on base percentage (.500) and runs scored (43). Polcare also ranks second in hits with 45 and stolen bases with 18.

Over his last 10 games Polcare has hit .550 (22-for-40) with six doubles, two triples and one homerun. Over that span he has driven in 14 runs, while scoring 18, slugged .875 and gotten on base at a clip of .600. [Archive] [Baseball Home]
