(September 4, 2007) -The NAC women’s volleyball coaches have selected the Husson University as the favorite to win the conference championship. The Eagles, who finished 7-1 in the league last year, return two-time first team all-conference member Allison Chepke. Husson received six first place votes and 47 points to lead all teams.

NAC tournament champion Maine Maritime finished second in the poll with 40 points. The Mariners were also 7-1 in league play and return three starters off of last year’s 19-6 squad. Maine Farmington received one first place vote and 35 points.

Note: Points in are awarded in descending order with first-place votes (in parentheses) earning 7 points through seventh-place votes which are worth one point. Records shown are 2007 conference and overall records with last season’s regular season conference finish.
