Castleton Picked Second in NAC Preseason Poll

(September 4, 2008) - Two time defending NAC Champion Husson University was chosen as the league’s early favorite in a poll by the conference coaches. The Eagles, who collected five first place votes and 60 points, return 10 starters off of a squad that went 9-1 in conference play. The Eagles will be led in goal by senior all-conference honoree Tatyana Wolterbeek, who between the pipes last season, allowed just four goals in 10 conference contests.

Castleton State College received two first place votes and 55 points placing second. The Spartans return six starters from a team that went 8-1-1 in league play. Maine Farmington also received a first place vote. The Beavers return seven starters headlined by defensive standout Amanda Byrne.
