(November 6, 2007) - Vanessa Carter (Summerstown, Ontario/Cornwall Typhoons) has been named the ECAC East Women's Ice Hockey Goaltender of the Week. Carter led the Spartans to a 1-1 weekend at Cortland State. The senior netminder stopped 55 shots in the two games, earning an impressive .902 save percentage.

After dropping the opener at Cortland 3-2, the Spartans bounced back for a 4-3 win on Sunday to even its record. Castleton received goals from six different players in the two games, and points from 10 different players. The win on November 4 marks the earliest win in the program's history.
