Sugarloaf, ME-Both Castleton teams backed up there giant slalom performances with impressive showings on the slalom course. The women finished second to Boston College who was the #2 slalom team in the country a year ago. The men's team earned their first win of the young season, capitalizing on the opposition's mistakes to take the win. For the two days alpine-combined Castleton was the top team on the mountain.
Women: Castleton was led by senior transfer, Nicole Kondziela led the Spartans with a ninth place finish. Freshman, Brenna Nolan finished in 10th place, after a fall in the giant slalom forced her out of Friday's race.
Men: Justin Schwartz earned his first podium appearance of the young season, leading the Spartans with a second place finish. Evan Vomacka, Jeff Giegler and Greg Towle all finished in the top ten (7, 9, 10 respectively).
