Spartans roll past Bay Path with 82-43 win

Castleton, VT-The Castleton State College women's basketball team picked up a half game in the NAC west division over Becker with a 82-43 victory over Bay Path. The Spartans had nine of 10 players get into the scoring column, led by Jess Banks who had 15 points to go along with four assists, all in the first half.

The Spartans raced out to a 43-10 lead at the half due in large part to their defensive effort. Castleton forced 16 Bay Path turnovers, scoring 14 points off of them. The Spartans never looked back as they had three other scorers join Banks in double figures. Katie Hoxsie scored 14 points off the bench and grabbed a team high seven rebounds. Carley Amedore and Mary Nienow chipped in 13 points apiece.

Jessica Hunt had 17 points and Hilary Bielunis added 10 points to lead the 2-17 (1-15 NAC) Wildcats.
