Castleton drops season opener to Colb-Sawyer 64-42

Plattsburgh, NY-Castleton fell to Colby-Sawyer College 64-42 in the opening round of the Cardinal Classic Tip-Off tournament hosted by Plattsburgh State College. The Chargers received 15 points and 12 rebounds from Emma Pasquale to lead the way.

The Spartans trailed by eight at halftime and seven with as little as five minutes to go in the game, but Colby-Sawyer would use a 15-0 run to close out the game.

Castleton was led by Jenn Whiting's 12 points and five rebounds. Mary Nienow chipped in with 11 points in the loss. [Box Score]
