Castleton wins third straight, drops Lasell 59-52 in conference play

Newotn, MA-Castleton remained perfect in the North Atlantic Conference, defeating last season's NAC West Division champion 59-52 at Lasell. Jess Banks led the way with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Castleton led by 15 at halftime, and by as many as 19 in the second half, but some late scoring by the Lasers closed the gap. Leading Lasell was senior Courtney Casserly with 18 points, including 10 from the foul line. Freshman forward, Laura Cary was strong off the bench tallyign 12 points and 4 rebounds for the Spartans, while Melissa Verill chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Castleton improves to 5-2 (3-0 NAC) and will travel to Lesley for a North Atlantic Conference game on Saturday at 5:00 PM. [Box Score]
