The women's basketball team has been a strong program at Castleton for over 30 seasons. The Spartans have produced an NAIA national scoring leader, several 1,000 point scorers and many conference champions. Most recently the Spartans have enjoyed success in the North Atlantic Conference, averaging over 18 wins per season and earning a conference championship in 2003, along with final four appearances in each season they have been affiliated with the NAC.
