Bellimer gets first career shut-out as Spartans roll 4-0

Lyndonville, VT –Freshman keeper, Micole Bellimer (Hartland, VT/Windsor) stopped seven shots and earned her first collegiate shut-out as Castleton scored four unanswered goals. Tracy Stala (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) and Erin Hanlon (Hoosick Falls, NY/Hoosick Falls) each scored a pair of goals to lead the offense.

Stala struck in the fifth minute of play for her ninth goal of the season off an assist from Heather Slater (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley). The first half would end at 1-0, but the Spartans would open the flood gates in the second half scoring three more times. Stala scored her 10th goal of the season at 63:08 assisted by Brean Farquharson (Westmoreland, NH/Keene). Hanlon would get the final two tallies, the first off from a Stefanie Reuter (Manchester, CT/Manchester) assist.

Sara Anderson (Dixfield, ME) took the loss for the Hornets, stoppign seven shots on goal. Castleton is back in action on Saturday, October 7 when they play host to NAC foe, Lesley University at 1:00 PM. [Box Score]
