Castleton plays Maine-Farmington to 0-0 tie

Farmington, ME-The Castleton State College women's soccer team played NAC unbeaten, U. Maine Farmington to a 0-0 tie to wrap up its regular season.

The Spartans entered the game needing a win to force a three-way tie for the top-spot in the conference standings.

Micole Bellimer did her part to keep Castleton in the game, stopping 14 shots to preserve the scoreless tie.

With the tie Castleton will wind up the third seed in the upcoming NAC tournament. The Spartans will await the announcement of the tournament pairings but early indications are that Castleton will host Maine Maritime Academy in a quarterfinal game on Saturday, October 27. [Box Score]
