Castleton shuts-out Wheelock 3-0 on the road

Boston, MA – The Castleton State College women's soccer team defeated Wheelock College 3-0 to remain unbeaten (2-0) in North Atlantic Conference play.

Freshman, Ashley Ledoux scored a pair of goals, including the game winner to lead Castleton to the the shut-out win. Ledoux scored in the 25th minute of an Ashley Hertford assist for her first collegiate goal. Ledoux would follow that up in the 56th minute unassisted.

Ledoux's classmate, Julianna Dorsey would put the game away for good with under five minutes remaining as she sent home her first collegiate goal.

Micole Bellimer stopped three shots to earn the shut-out. Wheelock's Alyce Jordan recorded 11 saves on the afternoon as she was tested early and often. The Wildcats fall to 1-2 (0-1 NAC0, while Castleton improves to 3-2 (2-0 NAC). [Box Score]
