Castleton earns first NAC victory of the season 3-1 over Bay Path

Holyoke, MA-An early morning start did not deter Castleton from earning their first NAC victory of 2006 by defeating Bay Path College 3-1. Castleton opened the match with a 30-21 victory. After losing game 2 30-25, the Spartans won consecutive games 30-27, and 30-23 respectively.

Jamie Lemieux (Fort Edward, NY/Argyle Central) led the attack with 16 kills, the 5-10 freshman also racked up 8 solo blocks. Samantha Grisso (Dartmouth, MA/Dartmouth) was credited with 19 assists from her setter's position and also had six kills in seven attempts.

With the win Castleton improved to 7-3 (1-2 NAC) and takes on Lesley University at 1:00 PM later this afternoon. Bay Path drops to 0-6 (0-3 NAC) and also plays Lesley this afternoon at 3:00 PM. [Box Score]
