Castleton shuts-out Green Mountain 3-0

Castleton, VT-Castleton came out with guns blazing as they quickly dismissed the Eagles 3-0. Castleton took game one 30-10, and finished the match with 30-20 and 30-21 wins.

Jamie Lemieux (Fort Edward, NY/Argyle Central) led the Spartans with 11 kills and four solo blocks. Justina Finocchi (Pembroke, MA/Silver Lake Regional) tallied five aces, while Samantha Grisso (Dartmouth, MA/Dartmouth) chipped in three kills and eight assists.

Castleton improves to 11-9 on the season while Green Mountain falls to 1-13. The Spartans are back in action Saturday, October 21 when they travel to Husson College to participate in a quad match versus Husson, Maine Maritime and U. Maine-Presque Isle. [Box Score]
