Castleton loses to U. Maine-Presque Isle 3-1

Bangor, ME -In the final match of the afternoon Castleton came out and won the first game over UMPI 30-22 and looked as though they would salvage a win. UMPI would come back and win the next three games by scores of 30-7, 30-19 and 30-20 to end the Spartans' day at 0-3.

Jamie Lemieux (Fort Edward, NY/Argyle) led the team with six kills, four aces and eight solo blocks. Mandy Harrington (Peru, VT/Green Mountain Union) added four aces and six digs for Castleton.

Castleton falls to 11-12 and will play host to Norwich University on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 PM in their final match of the season. [Box Score]
