Emerging Leaders
Each year first year students are nominated by faculty, staff and others to participate in an Emerging Leaders Program. An alumni mentor works closely with the Emerging Leaders as teacher, facilitator, and supporter. The curriculum is developed by the Alumni Mentor for the specific class, but generally addresses personal values, leadership skills, and long and short term goal setting. Emerging Leaders meet approximately each month starting in the Spring semester of their freshman year and continuing through until graduation.

Orientation and Training
Individualized training is provided for various campus leadership groups including, the Student Association, Class officers, Student Orientation Staff, and student organization treasurers. Any campus organizations wishing to have a customized leadership presentation is welcome and encouraged to speak with the Assistant Dean for Campus Life or the Coordinator of Student Activities.
Resources
Leaders of student organizations are provided with handbooks outlining policies, procedures, and programming tips. A national leadership magazine is distributed once each semester and a newsletter is distributed regularly throughout the academic year. In addition, the Campus Center/Student Activities staff has an extensive library of catalogs, magazines and books to support student leadership and programming.
