WHY VOLUNTEER?
You can volunteer at a non-profit organization to gain practical experience for job training or because you find helping people rewarding, exciting, and self-fulfilling. While many employers look for employees who have an expertise in a certain area, they are also seeking individuals who are community minded and are concerned about the world in which they live. The Center for the Support and Study of the Community at Castleton State College serves the college and the surrounding community by providing volunteer opportunities for students, faculty and staff, based on the needs of our community partners.
