Nursing Faculty / Site Coordinator Position, Distance Education Site in Lyndonville, Vermont - Castleton State College is seeking to fill a full time Faculty / Site Coordinator position for one academic year, to teach Foundations of Nursing I and II, which includes fundamentals and medical / surgical nursing to first year students in an Associate Degree program. Responsibilities begin in summer 2008. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating both first and second year levels at the distance education site at Lyndon State College in collaboration with other full-time Nursing Department; lecturing to first year nursing students over VIT; teaching and evaluating students in the skills lab; constructing and administering tests; clinical supervision and evaluation of first year students; student advisement; and service on college committees as appropriate. Site Coordinator will establish and maintain contacts with clinical affiliating agencies with the assistance of the chairperson of the Nursing Program. Associate Director of Bands - Castleton State College, Vermont, seeks to fill an instructor or assistant professorship in music beginning in August 2008; this is a possible tenure-track position. European History Faculty Position - Castleton State College seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professorship beginning August 2008 to teach undergraduate courses in a globally oriented, interdisciplinary department of history, geography, economics, and politics. The candidate must be able to teach the broad spectrum of European history as well as introductory world history courses. An international perspective is especially valued. Qualifications: PhD in History with a primary focus on Europe (specialization open); ABD will be considered if the candidate is likely to complete the PhD by June 2008.
