Media
Services
Media Services is located at on the first floor of the Stafford
Academic Center. The Media Viewing Room is in the southeast
corner of the Library. Media Services staff provide
audiovisual equipment and services for the entire campus.
Services include scheduling, maintaining, charging out, delivering
and setting up equipment on campus.
The Media Viewing Room is used by classes from all academic departments
for media-related activities. Although reservations for classes
have first priority, the Viewing Room may also be used by individuals
or groups who are doing preparations and presentations. In
addition, the Viewing Room is used for library instruction.
The room seats approximately 40 people and is equipped with a large
screen video beam projector.

Inquire at Media Services for details concerning scheduling,
costs, hours, etc. Media Services also houses a
large collection of film and videotape catalogs, frequently
used by individuals interested in rental or purchase.
Videos, Laserdiscs, CDs and Audio Cassettes
The library currently owns over 1,500 videos. The videos,
which are stored at the circulation desk, are cataloged and
listed on the library's online catalog. Students may view
videos within the library at any of three video carrels.
CSC faculty and staff may check out videos for a period of three
days.
The library owns over 50 laserdiscs and has numerous music
CDs and audio cassettes. Arrangements to view a
laserdisc can be made through Media Services and CDs and audio
cassettes can be found at the circulation desk. Faculty,
students, and staff may check out two CDs or four audio cassettes
for one week, or may listen to them at either of two audio carrels.
Reservations and Requests
Media Services is heavily used. In order to assure availability,
requests for equipment and services and use of the Viewing Room
should be made well in advance by calling 468-1361 (or campus
ext. 1361). A minimum of 48 hours notice is required for classroom
deliveries.
