  David Etzler received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from the Crane of Music, SUNY – Potsdam. A frequent performer with regional symphony orchestras, including the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and also was lead trumpet with the VSO Brass Quintet.
He has taught music at Rutland City Schools, Dorset School, and currently teaches in Fair Haven. His research interests has led him to collect songs and musical games in the mountains of Jamaica, West Indies. He has taught Applied Trumpet at Castleton State since 1972.
