 A native of Vermont, James P. Cassarino is Director of Music Programs and Assistant Professor at nearby Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont. He earned his B.A. in Organ Performance at Castleton State College and holds graduate degrees in Musicology and Liturgical Studies from Ball State University and St. John's University School of Theology/Seminary. Mr. Cassarino recently began work on duel M.Phil and Ph.D degrees as a student of sacred 19th century Welsh vocal music at the University of Wales (Bangor).
Organ students have the option of studying with Prof. Cassarino in Castleton on a 2 manual mechanical action organ or in nearby Rutland on a large historic 3 manual Skinner. Organ students normally should have some prior piano studies before beginning organ instruction.
