Health Psychology

This concentration is designed for students who have a particular interest in the application
of psychology to health issues. Students who intend to pursue graduate training
in Health Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or who wish to
work in the areas of substance abuse, geriatrics, pediatrics, or other health and human
service areas are encouraged to take this concentration.

Complete the requirements for the Psychology major, and complete the
following courses:
PSY 2030 Sensation and Perception                 3 cr
PSY 2170 Drugs and Behavior                         3 cr
PSY 3060 Child Psychopathology                     3 cr
PSY 3070 Abnormal Psychology                      3 cr
PSY 3130 Health Psychology                           3 cr
PSY 4020 Psychological Testing                       3 cr

and complete the following Math and Science general education courses:
BIO 2011 Anatomy and Physiology I               4 cr
BIO 2012 Anatomy and Physiology II              4 cr
MAT 2010 Statistics I                                     3 cr
MAT 2020 Statistics II                                    3 cr
