April Break Closing Information
Closing:
The residence halls will close for Break at 6:00pm on Friday, March 28, 2008. If you have a College activity or class on Friday night or other extenuating circumstances, you can request permission from your AC to remain in your hall until 8:00am on Saturday, March 29th. However, you must receive permission by 4:00pm Friday, March 28th.
Opening:
The halls reopen on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at 10:00am.
Break Housing:
Housing during the break is available only to those students who have received authorization from the Area Coordinator. All students (including athletes) wishing to stay for break must complete a Vacation Housing Application by 4:00pm Friday, March 28, 2008. Vacation Housing Applications are available in the Area Coordinators Office or on the residence life website. All halls are open for students who have received permission to stay during break.
Inspections:
The residence hall and physical plant staff will be inspecting all rooms during the break for health and safety reasons.
Meals:
The last meal served in the dining hall will be lunch on Friday, March 28th. The dining hall reopens for dinner on Sunday, April 6th.
Parking During Break:
Residents staying on campus for Vacation Housing may park in the residential lots on campus. In the event of an emergency or a storm, you may be asked to move your vehicle to another location. Residents leaving cars on campus during the break must park in the overflow or South St. lot.
What To Do Before You Leave:
-UNPLUG EVERYTHING (except aquariums and refrigerators)
-REMOVE ALL TRASH AND RECYCLING FROM ROOM, SUITE AND/OR BATHROOM
-CLEAN YOUR ROOM
-TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS
-CLOSE AND LOCK YOUR WINDOWS
-REMOVE YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS FROM THE BATHROOM
-LOCK YOUR DOOR
FINALLY – SIGN AND CHECK OFF THAT YOU’VE DONE THE ABOVE ON THE FORM TAPED TO YOUR ROOM DOOR
