Work on the Jeffords Center began during the first week in April 2007.
The Jeffords Center includes an addition and extensive renovations: 120-seat high-tech auditorium, four faculty-student research labs, modernization and renovations to one classroom lab.
The construction is being financed by a $2 million Federal Department of Energy grant secured by U.S. Senator James Jeffords and a $250 thousand grant from the Vermont Genetics Network.
The project also includes the creation of the Senators Courtyard between the Jeffords Center and the Stafford Academic Center.
