Woodruff Hall

Woodruff Hall

The first view a visitor may see of Castleton State College is Woodruff Hall. Woodruff Hall is Castleton's administration building and the home of the department of Business Administration. Woodruff was built in 1924 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Woodruff Hall was named for Caroline Woodruff, Castleton’s president from 1920 to 1940. She was President of the National Education Association and a friend of President Franklin Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.
