Health and Wellness Form | The Castleton Wellness Center The Wellness Center is committed to fostering the development of all members of the Castleton community. We strive to promote healthy life choices in all aspects of living. We encourage the exploration of positive self growth experiences that enhance an individual's overall life process. We offer services through the unification of several offices. Drug and Alcohol Education, Counseling and Testing Services and Health Services work in conjunction to offer holistic and comprehensive services to our community. Castleton Counseling Services strives to meet the psychological needs of students, alumni, faculty, and staff by providing a safe, supportive and confidential environment that empowers them to explore personal and interpersonal concerns. In keeping with the educational mission of our institution we promote self awareness, teach effective coping strategies and encourage responsibility and respect. Castleton Health Services works to promote healthy habits which when these habits are adopted early in adulthood will help reduce the incidence of chronic disease later in life. We work toward educating the community on prevention of illness and disease through educational outreach, individual interactions and peer involvement in health related topics. Castleton Office of Alcohol and Other Drug Education is open to students for information or answers to questions regarding substance abuse or related problems. The office provides training and information on a variety of topics related to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs via classroom presentation, residence hall program and campus wide awareness events. Health and Counseling Services at the Wellness Center are completely free of charge to registered Castleton students.
